This is a great all-purpose rub. It works very well on both meat and poultry. If you apply it on meat for several hours, or overnight, the salt will make it act like a brine that will draw out moisture. This will create a nice crust on the grill. Otherwise, rub it on and place your meat or poultry right on the grill.
Ingredients
1/4 1/4 1/4 1 1 1 1/2 1/2 | cup kosher salt cup (packed) brown sugar cup paprika tablespoon ground black pepper tablespoon garlic powder tablespoon dried onion flakes teaspoon cayenne pepper teaspoon celery seed |
- Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and whisk to mix
- Transfer to a jar, cover, and store in a cool dry place
